The Nature of Faith

 Amoral Faith
Illustrates from Rom 14:22-23 that some of our actions may be amoral.  Revised 7/5/2007

 Anaphoric Faith
Color-coded treatment of the context of Jam 2:14 which shows that even if v. 14 refers back to a certain type of faith (namely, dead faith), the FG interpretation is still maintained. Revised 8/1/2007

Work of God
Takes the position that work of God in Jn 6:29 is not using the word work literally but is used to refer to the will of God which is that we believe in Christ for eternal life rather than try to merit the gift of life. Seeking for eternal life, on the other hand, does entail literal work. Revised 10/25/2009

Gift of God
Demonstrates through grammatical considerations and substitutional techniques that faith is not the gift being referred to in Eph 2:8-9. The options are to consider either salvation or being saved by grace as the gift. Preference is given for the former but allowance is made for the latter. Takes the position that neither of these are of ourselves but that saving faith is in fact of ourselves. Soteric faith is synergistically co-produced. Has diagram of misthologically amoral faith. Uses illustration of painting masterpieces to show that one cannot boast of producing a nonmeritorious faith. Revised 10/25/2009
